Type specimen: AMNH 18534, a mandible (lower jaw with m2-m3 on the left side). Its type locality is Yen-ching-kao, which is in a Pleistocene/Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in China.

Ecology: arboreal frugivore-folivore

Distribution: found only at Yen-ching-kao
