Sister taxon: Redondasuchus rineharti

Type specimen: NMMNH P-43312, an osteoderm (paramedian plate). Its type locality is Apache Canyon, NMMNH L-485, which is in a Norian crevasse splay conglomerate in the Redonda Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: herbivore

Distribution: found only at Apache Canyon, NMMNH L-485
