Type specimen: GR 241, a skeleton (Nearly complete but disarticulated skull and postcranium). Its type locality is Hayden Quarry, Ghost Ranch (site 2), which is in a Norian coarse channel fill conglomerate/siltstone in the Chinle Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
