Sister taxon: Zionodon satanus
Type specimen: CM 71141, a mandible (dentary fragment with crowns of p3 and p4). Its type locality is Gnat-Out-Of-Hell, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of United States (3: Utah collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
