Type specimen: Holotype U.S.N.M. 137002, paratypes U.S.N.M. 137003, 137004, 137005. Its type locality is Meadel Ditch Quarry, which is in a Kinderhookian offshore mudstone/limestone in the Rockford Limestone Formation of Indiana.

Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder-detritivore

Distribution:

• Carboniferous of United States (3: Indiana, Missouri, Montana collections)
