Type specimen: Holotype U.S.N.M. 137022, Paratypes U.S.N.M. 137018-137021, 137023-137038. Its type locality is Meadel Ditch Quarry, which is in a Kinderhookian offshore mudstone/limestone in the Rockford Limestone Formation of Indiana.

• Permian of United States (2: Texas collections)

• Carboniferous of United States (6: Indiana, Missouri, Montana)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
