Sister taxon: Petropegia radiata
Type specimen: Holotype No. TC 95, University of Kentucky. Its type locality is Cow Creek, Prestonsburg, Floyd County, which is in a Pennsylvanian marine shale in the Breathitt Formation of Kentucky.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder-detritivore
Distribution: found only at Cow Creek, Prestonsburg, Floyd County
