Sister taxa: Betraccium chengi, Betraccium deweveri, Betraccium inornatum, Betraccium irregulare, Betraccium kennecottense, Betraccium maclearni, Betraccium nodulum, Betraccium perilense

Type specimen: USNM 251850. Its type locality is V5A3, V5A traverse, Punta San Hipolito, Baja California, which is in a Norian basinal (siliceous) chert in the San Hipolito Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: passively mobile planktonic omnivore

Distribution:

• Triassic of Cyprus (1 collection), Mexico (2)
