Belongs to Loffa according to Pessagno 1979
Sister taxa: Loffa lepida, Loffa vesterensis
Type specimen: USNM 251840. Its type locality is V5A3, V5A traverse, Punta San Hipolito, Baja California, which is in a Norian basinal (siliceous) chert in the San Hipolito Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: passively mobile planktonic omnivore
Distribution:
• Triassic of Cyprus (4 collections), Mexico (4), Turkey (8)
Total: 16 collections each including a single occurrence
