Sister taxa: Foordiceras akiyamai, Foordiceras flemingianum, Foordiceras goliathum, Foordiceras grypoceroides, Foordiceras mammiferum, Foordiceras ornatissimum
Type specimen: MNS HP46. Its type locality is Jmueia da Insom, Santa Cristina Val Gardena, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bellerophon Formation of Italy.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
