Type specimen: lectotype IRScNB CtM 719a-c/769, a partial skull (skull fragment, right periotic, right tympanic). Its type locality is Deurne (Fort 1), Antwerpen Sands Member, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian open shallow subtidal sandstone in the Berchem Formation of Belgium.
