Sister taxa: Paracimexomys crossi, Paracimexomys magister, Paracimexomys magnus, Paracimexomys perplexus, Paracimexomys priscus, Paracimexomys robisoni
Type specimen: MOR 2530, a tooth (LM1). Its type locality is Shell Hell (MOR Loc. 703), which is in an Edmontonian fluvial mudstone in the St. Mary River Formation of Montana.
Ecology: arboreal herbivore
Distribution: found only at Shell Hell (MOR Loc. 703)
