Type specimen: USNM 510038, a valve. Its type locality is Locality 4. Spring Branch in Meramec State Park, which is in a Gasconadian carbonate dolomite in the Gasconade Formation of Missouri.
Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at Locality 4. Spring Branch in Meramec State Park
