Type specimen: AMNH 6699, a set of postcrania (posterior half of carapace and plastron). Its type locality is Tairum Nor (AMNH and SSPE), which is in a Serravallian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Tunggur Formation of China.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: found only at Tairum Nor (AMNH and SSPE)
