Type specimens:
- Yinoceras lenticulare: IGAS 7156. Its type locality is Changlingpu, Tanchiashan, Xiangtan County (Chao coll), which is in a Kungurian coastal mudstone in China.
- Shaoyangoceras jiangjiachongense: Its type locality is Jiangjiachong, bed 4 lower, southern Shaoyang City, which is in a Kungurian coastal mudstone in the Dangchong Formation of China.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 19.8
Distribution:
• Permian of China (3 collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
