Sister taxon: Bauria robusta
Type specimen: SAM 1333, a skull. Its type locality is Farm Vaalbank, which is in an Anisian terrestrial horizon in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa.

Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
