Belongs to Catochia according to R. A. Fortey 1979

Sister taxa: Catochia glabra, Catochia hinlopensis

Type specimen: GSC 56827, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Catoche Formation type section, which is in a Cassinian open shallow subtidal limestone/dolomite in the Catoche Formation of Canada.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution:

• Ordovician of Canada (4: Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador collections), Norway (1)

• Cassinian of Canada (6: Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador)

• Jeffersonian of Canada (2: Newfoundland)

Total: 13 collections each including a single occurrence
