  • Diaphanoptera munieri: MNHN.F.R51214, a hindwing. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
  • Diaphanoptera superba: MNHN-LP-R 51196, an exoskeleton (Complete body). Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN later coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
