Belongs to Amblycranium according to R. J., Jr. Ross 1951
Sister taxa: Amblycranium cornutum, Amblycranium linearus, Amblycranium variabile
Type specimen: YPM 18043, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Locality 5, Hillyard's Canyon, Zone "E", which is in a Stairsian shallow subtidal limestone in the Garden City Formation of Idaho.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
Distribution:
• Ordovician of United States (2: Idaho collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
