Sister taxa: Menoparia elegans, Menoparia lunalata

Type specimen: YPM 18122, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Locality 6, Hillyard's Canyon, Zone "G(2)c", which is in a Tulean shallow subtidal horizon in the Garden City Formation of Idaho.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution:

• Ordovician of United States (21: Idaho, Utah collections)

Total: 21 collections each including a single occurrence
