Belongs to Scinocephalus according to R. J., Jr. Ross 1951
Sister taxon: Scinocephalus quadrihastatus
Type specimen: YPM 18125, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Locality 6, Hillyard's Canyon, Zone "G(2)a", which is in a Tulean shallow subtidal horizon in the Garden City Formation of Idaho.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution:
• Ordovician of United States (4: Idaho, Nevada collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
