Belongs to Protopliomerops according to L. F. Hintze 1953
Sister taxon: Protopliomerops radiatus
Type specimen: 26390 (AMNH), a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is H-20, which is in a Blackhillsian open shallow subtidal grainstone in the Fillmore Formation of Utah.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore
Distribution:
• Ordovician of United States (6: Utah collections)
Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
