Type specimens:

  • Scaphellina concinna: Its type locality is Bull Lake (Grandeur Mb), Cedar Ridge, Fremont County, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Park City Formation of Wyoming
  • Scaphellina bradyi: MNA 62.6850, a valve (Right valve). Its type locality is Jones Crossing, East Clear Creek, which is in a Kungurian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Kaibab Formation of Arizona.
  • Scaphellina phosphoriensis: Its type locality is Red Creek, Fremont County, which is in a Lopingian marine limestone in the Park City Formation of Wyoming.

Distribution:

• Permian of United States (12: Arizona, Montana, Wyoming collections)

Total: 12 collections each including a single occurrence
