Type specimen: GST361234, 361168, a valve (Dorsal valve counterpart internal and external molds). Its type locality is Middle Arm, Beaconsfield, which is in a Sakmarian coastal siliciclastic in the Swifts Jetty Sandstone Formation of Australia.
