Type specimen: BMNH R 9732, a partial skeleton (Skull, lower jaw, left pectoral and left pelvic girdle, vertebrae and ribs). Its type locality is U12, 0.5 km north Hita stream, which is in an Anisian terrestrial horizon in the Manda Beds Formation of Tanzania.

Ecology: herbivore

Distribution: found only at U12, 0.5 km north Hita stream
