Sister taxa: Plesigomphaeschnaoides danica, Plesigomphaeschnaoides paleocenica, Plesigomphaeschnaoides pindelskii

Type specimen: PIN 3559/10201, a hindwing. Its type locality is Bon Tsagaan (PIN collection 3559), which is in an Aptian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Dzun-Bain Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: found only at Bon Tsagaan (PIN collection 3559)
