Belongs to Hillyardina according to W. D. Boyce 1989

Sister taxa: Hillyardina marginauctum, Hillyardina minuspustulata, Hillyardina semicylindrica, Hillyardina tasmaniensis

Type specimen: NFM F-90, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is BH-18, which is in a Demingian peritidal reef rocks in the Boat Harbour Formation of Canada.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution:

• Ordovician of Canada (17: Newfoundland, Newfoundland and Labrador collections)

Total: 17 collections each including a single occurrence
