Sister taxa: Strigigenalis caudata, Strigigenalis crassimarginata, Strigigenalis derbyi, Strigigenalis implexa, Strigigenalis insentis, Strigigenalis knighti, Strigigenalis stevensi

Type specimen: NFM F-163, a pygidium. Its type locality is BH-55-93, which is in a Jeffersonian peritidal lime mudstone/wackestone in the Boat Harbour Formation of Canada.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
