Type specimen: Berger Museum no. 6, an exoskeleton (Complete specimen missing apex of right wings). Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Museum Bergér collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
