Type specimen: Mus. Comp. Zool. No. 2023, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Florissant (MCZ Collection)
