Type specimen: AMNH 3024, a skeleton. Its type locality is Protosuchus holotype, Dinosaur Canyon, NE of Cameron, which is in a Rhaetian/Hettangian terrestrial sandstone in the Moenave Formation of Arizona.

• Triassic to Jurassic of United States (4: Arizona collections)
