Type specimens:
- Phaedrysmocheilus nestori: PIN 1262/1, a shell. Its type locality is Tsvetkov Cape, grambergi zone, eastern Taimyr (PIN collection), which is in a Spathian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
- Phaedrysmocheilus suavis: Its type locality is Nonammonoid cephalopods of Verkhoyansk Range, Basin of Syngynakh River, which is in an Olenekian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
