Type specimen: USNM 488263. Its type locality is Murdock Mountain, Stenodiscus Beds, which is in a Wordian offshore wackestone/packstone in the Murdock Mountain Formation of Nevada.

Distribution: found only at Murdock Mountain, Stenodiscus Beds
