Sister taxa: Gerassimovia abalakovi, Gerassimovia bactriana, Gerassimovia gefoensis
Type specimen: PIN 2228/36. Its type locality is Kur-Istik 1, Upper Takhtabulak Fm, which is in a Changhsingian marine limestone in the Takhtabulak Formation of Tajikistan.
