Type specimen: USNM 4123, a shell. Its type locality is Northwestern Improvement Company No. 4 Mine, which is in an Eocene lacustrine sandstone in the Roslyn Formation of Washington.

Distribution: found only at Northwestern Improvement Company No. 4 Mine
