Type specimen: PQ L 23564, a mandible (mandible with both bodies but lacking incisors). Its type locality is Lang. E Quarry-PPM 3aN, which is in a Zanclean floodplain sandstone in the Varswater Formation of South Africa.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at Lang. E Quarry-PPM 3aN
