Sister taxon: Proterogomphus renateae

Type specimen: PIN N 3152/2118, an exoskeleton (incomplete body with wings). Its type locality is Myangad locality, Section 221/17, which is in an Aptian lacustrine mudstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: found only at Myangad locality, Section 221/17
