Type specimen: CNU-HE-LB2008006, an exoskeleton (complete male beetle). Its type locality is Huangbanjigou, Chaomidian Village, CNU 2008 collection, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China.
