Type specimen: CNU NMDHG3, an exoskeleton (complete insect). Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
Ecology: volant detritivore-omnivore
Distribution: found only at Daohugou (CNU collection)
