Type specimens:
- Perrinites tardus: Its type locality is R.E. King 513, Fossil Hill, Finlay Mountains, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in Texas.
- Perrimetanites progressus: PIN 3591/123. Its type locality is Sul-Istyk River, Sample 38 (talus), Pamir Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Kyzyldzhilga Formation of Tajikistan.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
