Sister taxa: Olenellus (Paedeumias) chiefensis, Olenellus (Paedeumias) puertoblancoensis, Olenellus (Paedeumias) terminatus, Paedeumias transitans

Type specimen: USNM 144252, a cephalon/head. Its type locality is USGS 3748-CO, northeast of Gold Point, which is in a Dyeran carbonate sandstone/limestone in the Harkless Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at USGS 3748-CO, northeast of Gold Point
