Type specimen: AMNH Fl 18920, an exoskeleton (complete body). Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Florissant, Station 14
