Type specimen: MCZ 2137, an exoskeleton (complete insect). Its type locality is Elmo, MCZ 1932 collection Lower Limestone, which is in an Artinskian pond limestone in the Wellington Formation of Kansas.

Distribution: found only at Elmo, MCZ 1932 collection Lower Limestone
