Sister taxa: Triproetus altasulcus, Triproetus angustus, Triproetus bonbon, Triproetus subovalis, Triproetus tumidus

Type specimen: ZNG Kr. 1213/560, a pygidium. Its type locality is Treskelen, Creek IV, Hornsund, which is in an Asselian marine limestone in the Treskelodden Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution:

• Permian of Canada (1: Yukon collection), Svalbard and Jan Mayen (1)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
