Sister taxa: Rhombocladia aktashensis, Rhombocladia minor, Rhombocladia quasiminor, Rhombocladia spinulifera

Type specimen: KMNH IvP 600,021c. Its type locality is Khao Hin Kling, Locality K (860810-04), which is in a Guadalupian carbonate limestone in Thailand.
