Type specimen: IBEF VP 3, a set of postcrania (a postcranial skeleton without a skull). Its type locality is KO2 locality, Shokawa Village, Kobudani Valley, which is in a Hauterivian/Aptian fine channel fill sandstone/mudstone in the Okurodani Formation of Japan.

Distribution: found only at KO2 locality, Shokawa Village, Kobudani Valley
