Belongs to Colossocossus according to F. Menon et al. 2005

Sister taxa: Colossocossus bechlyi, Colossocossus giganticus, Colossocossus rugosa

Type specimen: SMNS 65502, a forewing (single forewing). Its type locality is Crato (SMNS collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Crato (SMNS collection)
