Sister taxon: Lissocoelia cylindrica

Type specimen: Its type locality is IK-3 Ikes Canyon sponge beds, Toquima Range, which is in a Rangerian carbonate limestone in the Antelope Valley Formation of Nevada.

• Chazyan of Canada (4: Quebec collections)

• Whiterockian of United States (2: California)

• Ordovician of United States (1: Nevada)

Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
