Type specimen: OUMNH J.10455 (lectotype), a set of vertebrae (cervical vertebra). Its type locality is Near Weymouth, which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian marine horizon in the Kimmeridge Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Near Weymouth
