Belongs to Bythoscopus according to L. Piton 1940
Sister taxa: Jassus immersus, Jassus latebrae, Jassus spinicornis, Bythoscopus lapidescens, Bythoscopus homousius, Bythoscopus melanoneurus, Bythoscopus muscarius
Type specimen: Coll. Piton 863, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Menat (Piton collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Menat (Piton collection)
